LUXYAL® CROSS-LINK

COMBINATION OF A VISCOELASTIC AND A DEMULCENT AGENT. DUAL POLYMER TECHNOLOGY

LUXYAL® Cross-link GEL TEARS is a duo polymer combination that provides a more significant and improved action in case of desiccation through increased surface retention time of the lubricant agents compared to other single polymer formulations.

It associates three main ingredients, Cross-linked Sodium Hyaluronate, a demulcent P-PLUS™ and SCO® which form a high technology formulation.

The association of a dual demulcent (Cross-linked Sodium Hyaluronate and P-PLUS™) in LUXYAL® Cross-link GEL TEARS, helps to leverage the hygroscopic, viscoelastic and mucoadhesive properties of the solution. These properties extend ocular surface residence time, enhance spread of demulcents, in addition of providing extra lubricity.

LUXYAL® Cross-link GEL TEARS increases protection against desiccation and reduces surface friction and maintains high hydration on the cornea. The activity of Cross-linked Sodium Hyaluronate is optimised and prolonged by the synergic action of P-PLUS™.

P-PLUS™ is a hydrosoluble polymer with filmogenous and lubricant properties.

Cross-linked Sodium Hyaluronate retains more water and has higher viscoelasticity than other standard linear Sodium Hyaluronate eye drops, which ensures a longer and lasting hydrating action of the surface of the cornea.
